What a beautiful wintery white snowfall we're having in Hutto today! Michael and I joined our neighbors in playing outside with snowball fights and miniature snowmen and hippos. I like to work hard and play hard --something I promise to do for our community if elected to City Council on March 6th. This weekend, we're sprinkling the city with hot pink yard signs right now - so let us know if you want to show your support with a sign! It may be snowing, but the work doesn't stop!
With snow on Sunday in mind, Michael and I drove up the road to Taylor to enjoy their Farmer's Market where we were able to purchase a week of fresh produce for so much less than the grocery store. I know Hutto used to have Farmer's Market regularly. After speaking with the organizer for the market in Taylor, she, too, wishes for Hutto to open up their market again. We have a vast community of farmers, home crafters, ranchers, and small businesses in Hutto that depend on events, like a farmer's market, to thrive. I want to work with the city to bring our market back year-round and help it to thrive via intentional marketing and partnerships with our Chamber of Commerce.
Please stay safe if you have to be on the road today or tomorrow! Wishing you a warm and happy Sunday!
